Few controls. Many different marks.

Six new families on Mona Lisa. Each mark has five placement controls: x, y, rotation, length, and width. Curved strokes add a sixth: bend. A seed fixes all internal bristles, gaps, dots, or edge tears when the mark is born; optimization moves the whole mark without re-randomizing its texture.

128 marks per study, 50% opacity, the same greedy search settings, and two independent placement trials. Sparse styles leave more gaps, trading pixel reconstruction for texture. Each cluster has one fitted color; its individual bristles or dots are not separate optimization variables. Rendering more contours can still cost more, even with fewer adjustable parameters.
